What is Health Economics?

Health economics helps answer a simple but important question:
Is this intervention worth it?
In addition to clinical effectiveness, it considers:
  •  Cost to the healthcare system
  •  Resource use (time, staffing, diagnostics)
  •  Impact at scale
The goal is to support decisions about what should be implemented, for whom and at what cost.

Where Does it Fit in Your Study?

Health economics can be incorporated into nearly any study design.
How to incorporate health economics into your health study

If you are designing a study or grant and considering cost, resource use, or system impact, I would be happy to be involved early.
